Where does the staff come from?

Last summer we had over 100 staff members. While most of them are from Central Illinois, we've had summer staff from as far away as Washington.

How old do I have to be to apply?

We prefer counselors to have at least completed High School. (Students who are completing their Junior year may apply to be counselors, but first priority is given to those who are older.) Junior Counselors must have completed their Freshman year of High School.

Do I have to work all summer?

No. Camp runs for 11 consecutive weeks, but you can select which of the weeks you are available to work. Typically, we like counselors to work at least six weeks of the summer. (We also prefer them to take at least one week off.)

How many locations do you have? Where are they?

Our SIX locations in Central Illinois help us serve over 500 kids every summer. We allow you to tell us which location you prefer to work at throughout the summer: Pekin, Peoria Christian Center, Peoria Woodland Baptist, East Peoria, Morton, or Eureka.

How much do staff members get paid?

The pay scale for counselors starts at $175 per week ($180 for college students). Starting pay for junior counselors is $100 per week.

How many campers will be in my group?

Each counselor and junior counselor team are responsible for a group of 10-15 campers.

What if I live out of state?

We have families willing to provide housing to out of state staff members. For more information please contact us.
